The proposal is to build a raised speed table at the junction of Keppel Street/Malet Street and remove the existing advisory cycle lane in Malet Street, between the junction with Keppel Stree and Torrington Place, following recommendations in the CRISP Report for Link 28. This is welcome as a move to reduce the impact of the large numbers of vehicles emerging from Keppel Street into Malet Street.
The diagram in the consultation leaflet on Camden’s website is wrong.
The proposed design has failed to carry out the second recommendation in the CRISP Report – put a warning sign in Keppel Street indicating two-way cycling ahead. This sign should be provided.

Although the CRISP Report suggested just an entry treatment at Keppel Street, we agree that a raised table is an improvement, particularly for pedestrians leaving and entering Senate House.
