Camden Council proposes to improve pedestrian safety and accessibilty in and around College Gardens.
They propose a number of measures including the following:
- remove signals at junction Jeffrey’s Street and Royal College Street
- new pelican on Royal College Street between Jeffrey’s Street and Wilmot Place
- raised entry on Jeffrey’s Street at junction of Royal College Street
- juggling with locations of parking places to clear space outside College Gardens
We need to look at the space for cycling on Royal College Street northbound and on St Pancras Way southbound.

CCC’s response
We support the measures and ask additionally that
(a) The pavement spur on the south-east corner of College Gardens be removed
(b) The centre marking on St Pancras Way opposite College Gardens be removed
