British Cycling Recreational Rides Programme in Camden

Camden are working with British Cycling/Sky on the led recreational rides programme that will result in a series of led rides being run in Camden.

Ride Leaders have fun and get a recognised qualification. They encourage and inspire cyclists − whatever their age or ability. As a British Cycling Ride Leader you’ll plan, deliver and evaluate rides for groups of beginner and intermediate level children or adults. You’ll receive kit, training, support and payment. In return we ask that you commit to being flexible in your availability on Sundays and some Saturdays in the spring, summer and autumn of 2012 and help on at least four Sky Ride Local rides. It’s an amazing year for London. Join up to help even more Londoners enjoy bike riding in 2012.

If anyone from Camden Cyclists is interested in becoming a ride leader or route planner, then please contact  Paul Davis (020 7974 2520) or apply online at the address below. As part of this project we are looking for ride leaders and route planners, preferably Camden based that can help lead and coordinate the rides. The routes are currently in the planning stage, but the application process for Ride Leaders/Planners is underway with a deadline of the 9th March. Training is currently proposed for 15th April.
