A special notice for our internationally minded members
The Urban Age will be hosting a “Shaping Cities” conference (July 14-15) in Venice as part of La Biennale di Venezia,
The conference will investigate how people, institutions, policymakers, investors and designers affect the physical form of cities, and how this impacts on the way we live in them.
In case you need more to tempt you into travelling to Venice next week click here for information about the different events that will include sessions on ‘Expansion or Redevelopment’, ‘Urban Solutions: What Role for Architecture’ and ‘Shaping the New Urban Agenda’.
If like me however you won’t be able to make it to Italy at such short notice, they will be streaming the conference live (in English and Italian) so you wont have to miss the opportunity to hear Joan Clos (Executive Director, UN Habitat), Enrique Peñalosa (Mayor of Bogota) and many more high profile speakers share their knowledge and experience on ‘Shaping Cities’.
