Due to the bridge repairs on Holloway Road, HGVs are being diverted down Brecknock Road, York Way up Camden Park Road and then right onto Camden Road. You can find the information about the dates of closure and the diversion routes at:
You can download a PDF showing the HGV diversion routes on a map at:
If you’re planning to cycle up this section of Camden Park Road, you need to watch out for the HGVs as they approach the junction with Camden Road. At the moment, those turning right move over to the left to make the turn easier. So going up the outside is going to be a bad idea – and we all know not to go up the inside.
TfL/Camden plan to make some changes to the white lines on the road on Camden Park Road so as to clarify what’s going on but I’m not sure how quickly this can be put in place.
From 24th December to 16th January 2017 northbound HGVs will also be on diversion and will use Torriano Avenue, Leighton Road, Brecknock Road, Junction Road. During this time Brecknock Road will have diverted HGVs in both directions. Not nice.
