What is ‘Active Travel’?
‘Active Travel’ means walking and cycling as an alternative to motorised transport for the purpose of making every day journeys such as commuting, running errands, shopping, etc.
For the purpose of this consultation, we wish to include users of 2-wheeled motorised vehicles for this study as we consider them to be more vulnerable road users (e.g. riders of mopeds and motorbikes).
Are you an ‘Active Traveller’?
Do you use weather forecasts to help you plan your ‘Active Travel’?
If you are an ‘Active Traveller’, or if you would like to be more active, we need to hear your views!
Even if you do not use a weather forecast regularly, or at all, we would still like to hear from you. All we need to do is make sure you are 18 years or over to participate in the survey.
Why are the public being consulted?
The Met Office Public Weather Service provide weather forecasts and associated information for the public. A dedicated Customer Group acting on behalf of members of the Public ensures that the Met Office forecasts are timely, accurate and meet current and future requirements on your behalf.
