Tomorrow, we will attempt something remarkable. You don’t want to miss it.
When we heard that Mayor Bill de Blasio plans to redesign 5th Avenue with zero protections for New Yorkers who walk or bike, we were shocked.
Every community board, every local elected official, and nearly 20,000 New Yorkers had asked him to protect 5th Avenue and keep the New Yorkers who walk and bike there safe. Tomorrow, we are going to demand it.
WHAT: Family-Friendly Rally and Human Bike Lane Direct Action WHEN: Tomorrow (October 10th) from 6:15 – 7:15 pm WHERE: 50th Street and Fifth Avenue
Midtown Manhattan has the highest density of people walking and biking in the entire country, yet Mayor de Blasio’s plan for 5th Avenue only cares about moving motor vehicles.
If the city won’t protect us, we will have to protect each other. Together we can #ProtectOurRide!
