London Cycling Campaign)
14 April 2018 10am – 5pm
The Central London Outdoor Group (CLOG) (founded 1937) http://www.clog.org.uk has an easy cycle ride in the countryside most weeks between March and October ranging from 20 to 35 miles. These are easily accessible by public transport from London and are on quiet roads or cycle paths.
We are aimed at adults rather than families.
By bike we explore rivers, canals, forts, castles, coast, marshes, gardens, woods, ruins, churches, mansions, cycle-ferries, churchyards, villages, lost railways….
Non members can come up to 3 cycle rides or other events to try us out before joining. To join CLOG, visit our website http://www.clog.org.uk and click on the orange join us button.

Cycle ride: Wide skies, rivers, quiet lanes and open countryside 27 miles
Brush the cobwebs away with a cycle ride that explores the wide skies, rivers, quiet lanes and open countryside of Essex!
We will be cycling out of Chelmsford on the cycle route through a series of tiny essex villages until we stop for morning coffee and cake after 10 miles at Snug Cafe http://www.snugcafe.co.uk
Back on our bikes again we pedal off through more quiet essex lanes through quaint villages with their ancients churches until we stop for at lateish lunch at 20 miles at the Hare at Roxwell http://www.pieandpintinns.co.uk/thehare/contact.php
After lunch, we pedal the last 7 miles into Chelmsford on the beautiful cycle path along the river past the impressive viaduct and soon we are back at the station for frequent trains back to Stratford and London.
How do I get there?
