Panel discussion: Support for Inclusive Cycling
Invited panel, to be chaired by George Coulouris.
As Camden’s protected cycling network grows, it should help people of all ages to get around. The cycling community as a whole would benefit from a shift in the current demographic profile of cyclists (perceived or real). Observation suggests that the better infrastructure that’s now emerging in parts of the borough may be prompting such a change and we’d like to encourage it by organising useful events and advice.
The aims are to discuss what help and support older and mobility-impaired people need to start or to continue cycling and to identify points we can raise with Camden for ensuring that existing and new cycling facilities are fully accessible to older and to mobility impaired cyclists.
Monthly meetings are open to anyone interested in the topics being discussed.
Preceded by a business meeting 6:30-7:30 pm. LCC members are welcome to come to business meetings which deal mainly with detailed planning and admin issues.
