9th All Round Camden Bike Ride (aka Camden Peripherique)
A Summer-fun bike ride to celebrate the Borough of Camden’s many fascinating faces. If you want a bike check, come from 9.30 onwards. We’ll set off at 10.30. Under 16s to be with responsible adult.
We will ride round the boundary of Camden in a clockwise direction starting from the Town Hall. We follow the border of the City and Westminster through Lincolns Inn Fields and then turn north and west through Regents Park. Then we use Boundary Road to head over towards the border with Brent. The border is on Kilburn High Road but we take a quieter parallel route just inside Camden (we use Abbey Road, Priory Road and West End Lane). We then turn east through Hampstead Cemetery on the border with Barnet, stopping for lunch in Golders Hill Park (bring a picnic if you like). After lunch we ride round the Heath extension through Highgate (Haringey) and then down the hill along the border of Islington.
When we get back to the Town Hall, we will have ridden 18 miles. Then we ride through the middle to the Old Town Hall at Belsize Park – a total of 22 miles.
Here’s a link to a map of the route.
