| Ride to Hertfordshire, Sunday 18th July James Brander will lead a medium length ride (50-60 miles) out of London to west Hertfordshire and back. Meet at the Interchange studio on Haverstock Hill (100 m up from Belsize Park tube station) at 10:15 for a 10:30 am start. Details of the ride. |

Ride to Shuttleworth, Bedfordshire, Sunday 15th August
George Coulouris will lead a ride from Bedford to Shuttleworth. Meet at West Hampstead Thameslink station at 10:15 for the 10:25 train to Bedford (or join it at St Pancras at 10:17). Lunch at Shuttleworth, time for people to visit the Shuttleworth Collection of old aircraft, then ride to Harlington to pick up the return train, arriving back by about 17:30. Most of the route is on dedicated cycle tracks and small lanes; total distance about 28 miles.
Riders should buy a day return to Bedford (~£17 or £11:20 with a rail card). There is a good café at Shuttleworth. Entry to the aircraft museum is £10 (lots of lovely pre-WWII planes see http://www.shuttleworth.org/) Details of the ride. |

Rides around London organised by CTC and others
Central London CTC organises many rides at the weekends. The general idea is to meet at a train station and to take the train and start the ride at some place in the countryside surrounding London.

LccRider
The yahoo group lccrider supports a calender with times of the rides, many of them organised by LCC groups or Central London CTC. You can arrange to receive notifications of the rides or just go to look at the calender.
