Outspoken Delivery of Cambridge and Brighton’s Recharge Cargo have merged to create Zedify, a “last mile” urban delivery service using electric cargobikes.
Zedify – the name stands for “zero-emissions delivery” – starts with six UK locations: London, Glasgow, Cambridge Waltham Forest, Brighton and Norwich. An Edinburgh location opens next month.
The company is the creation of long-standing cargobike entrepreneurs Rob King of Outspoken Delivery and Sam Keam of Recharge Cargo. They have partnered with technology company Skotkonung to offer deliveries.
Goods at Zedify’s city centre depots are sorted into local, digitally-tracked delivery rounds and sent to their final addresses by specially adapted cargo bikes carrying up to 250 kilos. Customers include online retailers, logistics carriers such as TNT as well as local businesses for across town deliveries.
