Thanks to everyone for your support so far. After submitting the petition, we have been speaking with The Royal Parks staff and trustees about making the parks safe for all people and animals by removing cars and speeding traffic. They are listening to our concerns. But we need to ratchet up the engagement. We will re-submit the petition once it hits 75K signatures to really make the case to The Royal Parks’ CEO Andrew Scattergood that now is the time to act on traffic removal. We will be running a positive campaign heading into Car Free Day, and would love your support: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/london-car-free-day
We all deserve safer parks, and Andrew Scattergood could start with traffic-free parks on weekends. I will be calling the Royal Parks team next week and will share another update then.
