Farringdon Road- work following CRISP

Design work in the Islington/Camden section in Farringon Road :

  • Advisory Cycle lanes in both directions
    – ASLs (Advance Stop Lines) for cyclists at junctions
    – Relocation/amendment of loading bays
    – Improved cycle signage

In addition to the above, a number of locations for new cycle stands have been identified, although many of these are on borough roads.

The junction of King’s Cross Road with Margery Street and Calthorpe Street is being treated as a separate scheme and does not form part of this consultation.

The fifth drawing shows details for the junction of Cowcross Street. The main proposal is a shallow (1 in 20 ramps) raised table across the whole junction
