What makes the Camden Cycling Campaign such a force for positive change? It’s our amazing community of volunteers! Every pedal stroke we take toward better cycling infrastructure and safer streets is powered by people just like you. So why not join us?
Volunteering with Camden Cyclists is a fantastic way to feel more connected to your local community, meet fellow cyclists, and make a real impact. Whether you’re an experienced rider or new to cycling, there’s a place for you to contribute. Here are some of the roles we’d love you to try:
1. Become a Cycle Buddy
It only takes five minutes to sign up as a Cycle Buddy and offer support to a fellow cyclist near you. Whether they’re new to cycling or just need some encouragement, your guidance could make all the difference in their cycling journey.
2. Bike Maintenance
If you enjoy tinkering with bikes or want to learn more about caring for your bike, join our monthly Kentish Town Bike Workshop (KTBW). It’s a hands-on, friendly space where you can help others while picking up new skills!
3, Welcome new members
Help us make new and existing members feel at welcome. We’re looking for someone who enjoys meeting people and making connections. You’ll play a key role in ensuring all members are included and informed, helping us grow our vibrant cycling community.
4. Social Media Star
Do you love sharing the joy of cycling online? We’ve got growing followings on platforms like Bluesky, and we’d love your help spreading the word! Whether you’re on Instagram or another platform, you can inspire others to get on their bikes and help reduce pollution and congestion in Camden.
5.Cafe Meet-Up Organizer
Love a good chat over coffee? Help us organize Camden Cyclists Café meet-ups at local cafes throughout the year! These informal gatherings are a great way to connect with other cyclists and share ideas in a relaxed setting. Choose a 2025 Date (last weekend of March, May, August & November) and a lovely venue near you.
6. Share the Joy’
Help secure funding to increase cycling within underrepresented groups and deliver equitable access to its benefits. Do you want to start another Camden Bike Bus or local community group?
