Camden Council are consulting on six zebra crossings. They will build first those that are most popular. This one is close to schools and a hospital have pedestrian safety needs to be improved here.

The question: Do you agree with the proposal to build a zebra crossing at the existing pedestrian refuge island outside 11b and 18 Lyndhurst Road, near the junction with Lyndhurst Gardens?

CCC’s response

YES (to the question above)

Zebras help slow traffic down which is good for cyclists. Location of this one will assist cyclists coming in/out of Lyndhurst Gardens. Removal of parking bays also good for cyclists – reduces risk of “dooring” and improves visibility of cyclists on road.
