The Hackney Cycling Campaign supports the Mayor Of Hackney’s ambition of implementing another 12 School Streets by 2022.
Hackney Council is piloting a scheme where the roads outside some schools are closed to traffic at opening and closing times. The streets are closed to both school motor traffic and through motor traffic. This helps make a safer, more pleasant environment for everyone, while making sure residents, businesses, pedestrians and cyclists can still use the road.
