Parking and Healthy Streets Consultation in CA-G, Somers Town, Controlled Parking Zone

Dates: consultation  17th February  2020; 27th March  2020; Officers: Brenda Busingye; CCC member dealing with it Jean Dollimore. RESPONDED 25 March 2020

Due to the expansion of Euston Station to accommodate HS2. residential parking has been reduced around Euston Station, which has triggered a review of provision in the CA-G CPZ.

Camden is seeking views on making changes to the hours of operation of the CPZ.

Note: CA-G has 2515 permits to 1496 parking spaces ratio 1.68 vehicles per space.

Times: Mon-Fri 8:30am – 6:30 pm. Weekends No Control.

Increasing the hours of control would make it easier for a resident or visitor with a permit to find a space but make it harder for visitors without permits to find a space.

Camden is also seeking views on painting double yellow lines at all junctions in the borough to improve opportunities to cross at side roads and improve sight lines for all vulnerable road users.

They are also asking residents whether they wish to have:

– secure on-street bicycle parking (bike hangars) –

– electric vehicle charge points – state our usual policy
