Election of new & continuing committee members followed by a grand quiz presented by Geoff Stilwell including various categories (not exclusively about cycling).

Sam Margolis is a finalist in the Transport Planning Society sponsored ‘Transport Planner of the Year Award 2024′.

TPS announces that “these individuals have made exceptional contributions to the transport planning profession over the last year.”

You can also book free bikes and e-bikes in case you don’t have access to one. Please be considerate when doing this though, as we only have a few and they are meant for those who genuinely wouldn’t be able to ride otherwise.

Too dangerous to cycle to school?

Not with a BIKE BUS! This is a group of children chaperoned by responsible adult volunteers, cycling to school safely and avoiding the chaotic car school rush! Is there one in your neighborhood? Maybe it’s time to start it up!

Held at Kentish Town Health Centre, Bartholomew Road, NW5 2BX on the second Monday of each month from 6:30 to 8:30pm.

One participant’s response: “As well as making me feel welcome, they helped fix the problems with my bike and I learnt a few things as well. This is a really good initiative and it takes the stress off doing the mechanics. Plus it makes my cycling a lot safer, now the brakes are working properly. It felt like I was cycling on a brand new bike this morning :)”

Ebikes and mopeds (electric micromobility), were responsible for 2/3rds of the 1.5m barrels of oil displaced a day by EVs in 2022

Australians are really getting on board with E-cars but the number of E-bikes has also exploded – and data suggests these smaller EVs are having a bigger impact on oil demand.

EVs as a whole displaced about 1.5m barrels of oil a day globally in 2022, according to Bloomberg – E-cars were responsible for 1/6, with the remainder accounted for by vans, trucks and buses.
