Controlled Parking South of the Euston Road

Camden are consulting on changing the hours of operation of Controlled Parking Zones CA-C, CA-D and CA-E which cover the areas south of the Euston Road in Holborn & Covent Garden, Kings Cross and Bloomsbury wards. Dates: Consultation 23rd September to 24th October 2025; Reply to safetravel@camden.gov.uk; CCC member dealing with it John Chamberlain. Responded 22nd October 2025.

Camden are consulting on changing the hours of operation of Controlled Parking Zones CA-C, CA-D and CA-E which cover the areas south of the Euston Road in Holborn & Covent Garden, Kings Cross and Bloomsbury wards. This follows earlier consultations covering the areas north of the Euston Road (see https://camdencyclists.org.uk/2023/10/somers-town-controlled-parking-zone/).
The proposals would introduce controls on parking during the evenings, on Saturdays and possibly Sundays.

CPZs are a major tool in reducing motor traffic in Camden, especially at evenings and weekends, and we support these measures and want them extended to longer hours.

In addition Camden are asking whether there is support to add more bike hangars, dockless e-bike/e-scooter parking, electric vehicle charge points and car clubs.
