Sunday 25th July
Join our family oriented ride to the Lea Valley, along the towpath and back via Finsbury Park.
Our normal lunch stop is closed so we will stop at the Markfield Park café instead. There is plenty of space if you prefer to bring your own. The Victorian beam engine will be in action which is a bonus though the café may be busy as a result.
Easy paced 18-24 miles on (mostly) quiet roads, cycleways and towpath.
Two possible joining points:
1 Meet Geoff at Sidings Community Centre, NW6 2BJ at 9:45am for 10am start
2 Meet John at entrance to cycle route by Hampstead Heath tennis courts off Highgate Road NW5 1RP at 10.15 for 10.30 am start
The route we’ll probably take is here
You will need to register on EventBrite for this ride. Click this link to register for FREE tickets.
COVID-19 – you should not come on this ride if you are displaying symptoms of Covid-19 or think you have it. The safety of our volunteers and participants is important to us. Please make sure you are following the latest government guidance in regards to covid-19.
We will keep everyone as safe as possible by observing all the Covid Regulations. Most importantly we will be maintaining routinely a 2m social distance, never less than 1m. It is particularly important to maintain social distancing from other users on shared paths. We will always give way to pedestrians and to other cyclists so all path users can maintain 1-2 m and feel safe. Please bring a face mask just in case we need them.
