Camden Council proposes to raise Sandwell Crescent adjacent to the junction with West End Lane.
I am writing on behalf of Camden Cycling Campaign, the local borough group of London Cycling Campaign (LCC). We have over 600 members and represent the interests of cyclists living or working in the borough of Camden. We consulted our members by email on this issue and this response reflects the views of the membership.
We support the proposal to to raise the junction at Sandwell Crescent . We agree that it should slow down traffic speeds as they approach the junction which is beneficial to cyclists on West End Lane. And as you point out it will provide pedestrians with a level crossing point.
Please note that your consultation leaflet talks of West End Lane between Fawley Road and Mill Lane and that Sandwell Crescent isn’t in that stretch!
