The council is consulting on a new zebra crossing in Prince of Wales Road 2 2 metres to the east of the Truro St junction.
CCC supported this proposal. However one of our members expressed grave concern over the location given that Truro Road will be the main entrance for the Haverstock School redevelopment, as construction traffic greatly increases hazards for vulnerable road users). We suggested some options to reduce risk
relocating zebra until construction complete
warning signage for construction traffic
external supervision/control of construction traffic movements between Truro Road/Prince of Walesd Road
removal of some parking bays to improve sightlines and ease HGV turns.
