- raised entry treatments with carriageway narrowing at the junctions of Red Lion Square with Drake Street and Proctor Street.
3 flat topped speed tables with carriageway narrowing on Red Lion Square to assist pedestrian access into the green.
2 junction speed tables on Red Lion Street at the junctions with Princeton Street and Eagle Street.
Banned Right turn into High Holborn from Red Lion Street, reinforced with a central island.
Double Yellow lines along kerb build outs and at junctions to ensure pedestrian movements are unrestricted at all times.
CCC supported the proposals but objected to the banned right turn from Red Lion Street into High Holborn unless cycles are exempted, as this is an important backstreet route for those who want to avoid the Procter St gyratory.
