The measures proposed are
- New raised speed table at the junction of Messina Avenue/Kingsgate Road
- Removal of existing road humps
- Review of existing bollards
We agree with the proposed speed table.
We object to the removal of the existing road humps – they are needed to slow traffic down before it gets to the speed table.
We want Messina Avenue to be narrowed and straightened where it meets Kingsgate Road (eastern side). At present, the broadening makes it difficult for cyclists and pedestrians (cars coming on the inside, etc).
What it behind the “review of existing bollards”? We hope it isn’t putting in parking bays! What about some cycle stands and seats?
