I am submitting supporting comments on behalf of CCC, but it would be useful if individuals would do the same thing.
Some of the proposals are already available on line and have deadlines (shown above). The others are due to be posted within two weeks.
CCC comments
Bonny Street: We support this one very strongly as it extends the hire area to NE. This location provides excellent exchange with buses and trains.
Gloucester Avenue. We support this proposal. The location is close to the shops on Parkway and also convenient for Regents Park.
Hawley Crescent. We strongly support a hire station in this excellent location. We urge Camden Council to expedite a scheme for contraflow cycling in Hawley Crescent so as to provide access between Kentish town Road and Camden High Street. Position on south side is good for allowing future eastbound contraflow cycling.
Parkway. We support this location as it will services a range of nearby commercial properties. Although the one-way characteristic of Parkway is limiting, access should be possible via Arlington Road.
Gray’s Inn Road (North). We support this proposal as it fills a gap in the area.. The location at the junction of Guilford Street is very convenient for cycle routes into the centre.
Newton Street. We support this proposal – it will help to populate the area around Great Queen Street. Newton Street is on a signed cycle route, enabling users to navigate to and from the station.
Red Lion Street. We support this proposal. It will plug a gap in provision along High Holborn.
Supporting comments from CCC have also been posted for Albany Street and Grays Inn Road South.
