Camden Cyclists e-Newsletter  May 2016

I’m Angela Hobsbaum, Coordinator of Camden Cyclists. I’m sorry that we have not been sending you regular messages – we had a technical problem with the server, now happily resolved – and we’ll try to keep you better informed from now on. Four bits of information in this message:

Thames Towpath Ride.  Sunday 8 May, 10 am – 4.30 pm
Meet Geoff at Sidings Community Centre, 150 Brassey Road,  NW6 2BA at 10 o’clock
A leisurely, family-friendly route from West Hampstead to Barnes and back through Chiswick House and Turnham Green.  If it stays warm, you’ll need plenty of water.

Kentish Town Bike Workshop, Monday 9 May,  6.30 – 8.30
Kentish Town Health Centre. 2 Bartholomew Road, NW5 2AJ.
Friendly mechanics will be there to help you to repair your cycle or you can borrow their specialist tools and do it yourself – under supervision! Free but donations welcome.

Camden Cyclists AGM. Monday 16 May at 7.30
Primrose Hill Community Association, 29 Hopkinsons Place, NW1 8TN.
The meeting will start with the election of our coordinator, officers and committee. We will then  discuss campaigns,
CAMPAIGNS, what campaigns? We want to know what campaigns we should focus on in the coming year. Should we get families cycling? Encourage more women to cycle? Improve the roads? Get safer streets? Get more cycle parking? Get better cycle storage? What should our priorities be?
We want to hear from you! Please come along to our next meeting on Monday 16 May at 7.30 and share your ideas.

Volunteers
Our committee would welcome some more support. If you would like to join us, whether or not you have particular skills, you will find us a friendly group. Sole qualification – you like to cycle!
