They were still smiling at the end of the All Round Camden ride!
Camden Cyclists e-Newsletter June 2016 It’s summer time and Bike Week is here! From Saturday 11 June to Sunday 19 June, I hope that you’ll find something enjoyable to do on two wheels.
Cyclists Breakfast: Wednesday 15 June: 8.00 – 10.00
If you ride down Royal College Street on your way to work, why not leave a few minutes early (or arrive a few minutes late) and stop to pick up a snack, a map, get your bike checked or security marked? We will be outside Somers Town Community Caf’s worth a short diversion! Free croissants, brownies, juice. https://camdencyclists.org.uk/events/cyclists-breakfast-16/
10th All Around Camden Ride, Sunday 19 June, 10.30 – 15.30
Our popular annual event! Beating the bounds of the borough, the route takes us all around Camden, visiting every ward, starting at Camden Town Hall at 10.30 and finishing at Old Hampstead Town Hall. We will have a police escort and marshals from Camden’s cycling instructors. It is a great opportunity to see parts of Camden you don’t often visit. You can stop when your legs get tired.
Come along and join our friendly group. Families welcome!
If you want to get your bike checked, arrive at 9.30 so you’re ready for the ride. https://camdencyclists.org.uk/events/ride-all-round-camden-2016/
Let’s make this the biggest All Around Camden Ride ever!
Monthly meeting: Monday 20 June, 19.30 – 21.00
(Yes, I know this is just after Bike week!) Come and hear Audrey de Nazelle (Imperial College) talking about Cycling in Urban Environments: do the benefits outweigh the risks? Usual venue – Primrose Hill Community Centre, NW1 8TN. Refreshments and a chance to chat. https://camdencyclists.org.uk/events/members-meeting-2016-06-20/
