SAVE CS11!
Opposition to CS11, which would route a superhighway through Swiss Cottage and eliminate the hostile gyratory there is very active and vocal. There will be rallying both in favour and against CS11 this coming Saturday, 8 October at Swiss Cottage at 11am————–
TAVISTOCK PLACE URGENT!!!
Camden Council is consulting on the future of Tavistock Place. The 12-month trial of the new layout has already improved the area hugely.
The proposed scheme features:
• Stepped 2.2m cycle tracks with lower kerbs and no other separators – easier to cross the tracks, but good protection for those cycling
• wider pavements – more space for pedestrians and the mobility-impaired• Continuous pavement at side roads – reinforces pedestrian and cycling priority over turning vehicles
• Raised junctions to calm traffic – slow down turning traffic, reduce collision risk and severity
Please tell Camden to make the new layout permanent by filling the consultation questionnaire at https://bit.ly/2cUZO5d
We’ll need as much support as possible to ensure that the wider lanes can become a permanent feature. There is much opposition to this, particularly from taxi drivers and the Imperial Hotels group.
The consultation closes on 21 October so we need maximum response URGENTLY
