In preparation for this critical mass, why not join our Banner Making and Art Blocking session? Bring a t-shirt to be printed with our tailored Rebel Rider art blocks! Thursday from 7pm at the Old Baths, Hackney Wick https://bit.ly/32iUkX6
On the Saturday morning of our uprising festival, get on your own two wheels and join the crowds of cyclists standing up for Hackney and beyond in the face of our current climate crisis. Skaters, scooters, and roller skaters most welcome too – any set of wheels will do! ✨
We’ll be heading out from St Luke’s Garden at 11am. All you need to do is turn up and cycle, skate or roll along with the crowd. 🛣
The cycle ride forms part of Extinction Rebellion’s protest against government inaction on climate change, despite the declaration of a climate emergency in May. ✊
Cycling is one of the most eco-friendly ways to get around, but air pollution makes this form of travel inaccessible for many who are fearful of the effects on their breathing. 😤
Our critical swarm will halt traffic and assert our right to cycle in this city. 🚲
The forecast is already looking sunny so this will be the perfect way to get out and about and enjoy London summertime. 🌞
As part of the East London Uprising, join the Rebel Riders in this Emergency Critical Mass cycle ride! 💚
