Harmood Street Safe and Healthy Streets

Dates: consultation 25th February to 18th March 2022; Reply to:  safetravel@camden.gov.uk; CCC member dealing with it John Chamberlain. Responded 15th March 2022

Camden proposes to make permanent the trial motor vehicle traffic restriction and parking amendments on Harmood Street put in under an ETO in September  2020. And to add new trees, planting and an informal pedestrian crossing.

Details:

  • The road closure will be moved closer to the Harmood Street junction with Clarence Way and will be constructed as an informal raised pedestrian crossing with wide footway build outs.
  • The planters and the nearby (old) speed cushions will be removed and the signage for the ANPR camera and motor vehicle restriction will be moved to the location of the crossing.
