Controlled Parking in Camden Town

Camden are consulting on making permanent the changes to hours of operation of part of Controlled Parking Zone CA-F which covers Camden Town. Dates: Consultation: 5th December 2025 to 9th January 2026; Reply to safetravel@camden.gov.uk; CCC member dealing with it John Chamberlain. Responded 6th January 2026.

Controlled Parking Zone CA-F covers the Camden Town area. In October 2024, Camden introduced longer hours of parking control in the central part of the area (CA-F(n)) as a trial scheme, to match existing restrictions in CA-F(nw). They are now consulting on making these changes permanent. This would standardise the hours of operation to 8:30-23:00 M-F and 9:30-23:00 at weekends. In addition Camden are asking whether people would support other changes to the parking restrictions in the area.

CPZs are a major tool in reducing motor traffic in Camden, especially at evenings and weekends, and we support these measures and want them extended to longer hours. We will respond in favour and ask for the hours of operation in the rest of the zone (CA-F(s)) to be changed to match. This would also stop people driving around looking for areas with weaker restrictions.
