These proposals are to be funded by the scheme at 100 Tottenham Court Road through a Section 106 agreement. They follow Phase 1 which is currently under construction.
Tottenham Street
- a pedestrian and cycle-only space on Tottenham Street between Tottenham Court Road and Whitfield Street.
- That is, two-way cycling through the eastern end of Tottenham Street. The remainder of Tottenham Street was made two-way for cycling in 2021 – getting the connection through to Tottenham Court Road is a big gain.
Chitty Street
- bollard closure at Charlotte Street
- street art
- raised crossing at Whitfield Street
- zebra crossing across Charlotte Street; shown on this Camden drawing
- pocket park with SuDS (Sustainable Drainage System)

Whitfield Street
- wider footways with permeable pavings
- trees on eastern section of Whitfield Street between Chitty Street and Tottenham Street

Scala Street
- one way westbound with two-way cycling
- wider pavements with benches and trees and street art
- continuous footway on Scala Street at Charlotte Street

Walking route
Create a continuous walking route between Whitfield Gardens and Goodge Street by providing a uncontrolled crossing on Tottenham Street to link Tottenham Mews and Goodge Place
Goodge Place goes through to Goodge Street. Will need a cycle exception to the No Entry at Goodge Street
Cycle Parking and Storage
- New dockless bike hire and e-scooter bays
- Five new bike hangars on Chitty Street, Charlotte Street and Goodge Place
Loading and Parking
- Removal of a total of 12 resident parking spaces
- Remove 2 car club bays
- Loading bay on Tottenham Street moving to Whitfield Street
