Camden are proposing major changes to Fitzjohn’s Avenue and nearby roads, including 900m of segregated cycle tracks, junction improvements, new and upgraded crossings, a Healthy School Street and planting and greening. Camden are proposing major changes to Albany Street (east of Regents Park), including 2.4 km of segregated cycle tracks, junction improvements and pedestrian and cycle crossings. It’s good to see this but we have issues with the design, especially the narrowness of the proposed tracks. Camden are proposing measures to make permanent the trial changes in the Phoenix Road area of Somers Town. Most of the changes relate to the planted areas where planters would be replaced by permanent planted zones and a cycle path delineated but the proposals include some additional restrictions on motor vehicles and a number of other improvements to the streetscape.
