The main component of this scheme was the introduction of a number of motorcycle parking bays.
CCC objected to a 5m long solo m/c parking bay at the corner of Regents Park Road and Berkley Road. Whilst not explicitly declaring this, it would clearly entail the removal of some cycle parking on the kerb (the cycle parking stands were not shown in the consultation plans). We pointed out that cycle parking was already in short supply in that area, and so had to object to any plan which compromises it further. We prooosed limiting the length of the m/c bay to 4m? We registered the need for more cycle parking in the area generally.
