This was our second Bikefest in Regents Park:
Bikefest is part of the Camden Green Fair organised by the Camden Green Fair Steering Committee in collaboration with LB Camden, Camden Cycling Campaing and Groundwork-Camden and Islington.
Stefano and helpers arrived early to set up the stall in Chester Road, which was closed for the day. Stefano’s bike stands constructed from scaffolding were a great success. The day was very warm and sunny throughout, creating a good atmosphere for the events.
We were pleased to see the groups coming in by bike from Barnet Cyclists and the newly restarted Brent Cyclists.
Stallholders were helped by Michael Stuart’s FAQ to do the job professionally – as usual the Tfl maps wre popular and we managed to give out our entire stock of number 10.
Last year we thought there were a lot of cycles on the site, but this year there were even more.
This year Dr. Bike was done by Evans and TfL and was inside the park. They certainly attracted long queues.
Unusual bikes provided by Bikefix and Velorution for poeple to try out. Unfortuately they were too far away from us, although those that found it must have enjoyed themselves.

Very popular was also the children training area. Ola Lawal and the team from LB Camden hardly got a break all afternoon and accepted hundreds of requests for children and adult training.
