Jane, Stefano and other helpers had the stall set up by 8 am. This time CCC was joined by members of Camden’s Good Going Team, who brought new free gifts including sunglasses, water bottles and snap on yellow strips. This year we had a continuous stream of visitors until we closed down shortly after 10
This was our second Bikefest in Regents Park: Bikefest is part of the Camden Green Fair organised by the Camden Green Fair Steering Committee in collaboration with LB Camden, Camden Cycling Campaing and Groundwork-Camden and Islington. George Coulouris led a group of ten from Harpenden through some very leafy lanes in the brilliant sunshine on Sunday 2nd July 2006.
Helen introduced Lynn Sloman, our speaker, to the meeting. Lynn has been a transport campaigner for fourteen years, involved with organizations such as the Camden Transport Forum, Transport 2000 (where she was Assistant Director for ten years) and most recently Cycling England. Her book, Car Sick: Solutions for Our Car-Addicted Culture, has just been published.
